Departments

  1. Administration

    The Administration Department consists of an Executive & Legislative Branch and an Administrative Branch (with eight functional areas contained within) that collectively cover the general activities of the Corporate Authorities and Administration.

  2. Building, Zoning & Engineering

    Building & Zoning assurescompliance with the Zoning Ordinance, Building, Plumbing and Electrical Codes, Construction and Accessibility Standards and all other Building and Zoning related ordinances. The Engineering Department manages Village infrastructure projects, inspects private development, performs engineering studies, planning, and coordination of work with the public, and other regulatory agencies.

  3. Finance

    The Finance department is delegated the responsibilities of maintaining the financial records of the village, collecting all revenues due the village, assuring all debts are promptly satisfied, safeguarding of assets and generally providing financial information and support to all village departments.

  4. Police

    The mission of every member of the Bloomingdale Police Department is to consistently seek and find ways to affirmatively promote, preserve and deliver a feeling of security, safety and quality services to members of our community.

  5. Public Works

    The Public Works Department is responsible for the management, operations and maintenance of Village utilities and infrastructure.
