Operations Division

The Operations Division is the largest division in the Police Department and includes the Patrol, Criminal Investigations / Youth, and Community Relations / Crime Prevention sections.

Patrol Section
The Patrol Section provides essential services to the community in the areas of patrol, traffic, emergency and non-emergency response to calls for service. Patrol units are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to calls.

Criminal Investigations / Youth (CIY) Section

The Criminal Investigations / Youth (CIY) Section consists of 1 Watch Commander and 3 Detectives. This section is responsible for the follow-up of criminal complaints and juvenile issues received from the Patrol Section or through self-initiated activity.

Due to the volume of criminal complaints received, not all cases are assigned for follow-up investigation. Questions or concerns involving criminal investigations or juvenile issues should be directed to the Investigations Watch Commander at 630-529-9868.

Community Relations / Crime Prevention Section

The Community Relations / Crime Prevention Section acts as a liaison to the community on behalf of the Police Department.
