Electronics Banned From Landfills

TVs, computers, laptops, keyboards, monitors, printers, peripherals, VCR / DVD players, gaming systems, MP3 players and other electronic items have been banned from Illinois landfills since January 1, 2012. The village's waste hauler, Republic Services, cannot collect electronic waste at the curb.

Recycling Options

The Bloomingdale Township Highway Department sponsors an Electronic Recycling Program the 1st Saturday of every month (except for January, February, March and December and holiday weekends) at the  Bloomingdale Township Highway Department, 6N030 Rosedale Avenue, from 8 a.m. to noon.
