O’Hare Noise Compatibility Commission Update

The Village of Bloomingdale is an active member of the O’Hare Noise Compatibility Commission (ONCC) which was created to work towards reducing aircraft noise in the communities around O’Hare International Airport. The ONCC was established in 1996, following an invitation from the City of Chicago to suburban mayors to begin constructive dialogues on aircraft noise issues. Since its founding, the ONCC's membership has grown tremendously and now includes 43 communities and 22 school districts. Mayor Franco serves as the Village representative to the commission with Trustee Von Huben and Village Administrator Scalera as alternates. On Friday, May 4 the ONCC met in Rosemont to discuss departure procedures used at the airport and its impact on flight patterns. At the meeting the ONCC March 2018 Monthly Report and ONCC Technical Committee April Summary Minutes posted below for your review were approved.
