When does the Village pick up leaves?

The Village of Bloomingdale does not pick up leaves. Residents are encouraged to compost their leaves or to participate in SBC’s Yard & Organic Waste Collection program. Raking or blowing leaves into the street or curb is a violation of section 5-2-4 A.2 of the Village’s Municipal Code, as they often cover storm water inlets, which often causes localized flooding during heavy rains.
