South of Army Trail Road

  • Venture/Schmale Redevelopment Area: This district was established in November, 1997 pursuant to the powers of the Village of Bloomingdale under the Illinois Jobs Recovery Law, based upon the Illinois Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act. This TIF District is comprised of three parcels and is located on the south/southwest side of the Village. The TIF District contains approximately 70 acres, and is generally bounded by the Illinois Central Railroad right of way on the north, Schmale Road on the east, and the Village of Carol Stream municipal boundaries on the west and on the south. It is more popularly known as the Klein Creek Industrial Park, and is home to Klein Creek Integrated, DuPage Machine Products and F.I.C. America, with about 580,000 square feet of space
  • Bloomingdale Business Center: Bloomingdale Business Center is comprised of over 16 acres of land located just north of the Venture Schmale Redevelopment area. It is completely developed with two businesses - Pickens-Kane and Elite Manufacturing - housing over 245,000 square feet.
  • Now Natural Foods and Bi-Link: This area contains 16.5 acres and is located on the far southeast corner of the Village. Nearly 300,000 square feet of commercial office and distribution space is contained in two buildings on this site.

West of Gary

  • Covington Corporate Center: Located on a 160 acre campus-like setting, the Covington Corporate Center is a business park that is designed to house light industry as well as research and support service business. Approximately 120 acres are fully developed and represent 700,000 square feet occupied by 21 companies. Major companies located in the business park include Square D, Transmissions Systems, Thomas Interior Systems, Grohe America, Hager, Inc, and Roman, Inc.

 

  • ProLogis Park: Located along the north side of Army Trail Road at the intersection with Madsen Drive, extending north to the Illinois Central Railroad tracks, about 58 acres has been completely developed. Major companies located in this business park include Costco, Staples, Cannon Products and Service, Scholastic Books, Tom's Price Furniture, and Diamond Marketing Solutions.

 

  • Bloomingdale Corporate Center: North of ProLogis Park, extending eastward to Covington Drive, lies the Bloomingdale Corporate Center, containing about 50 acres. Major companies located in this business park include Envision Graphics.
