Dog Licenses
The Village requires all dogs over the age of 4 months to be licensed. Licenses are issued yearly and are valid from January 1st to December 31st. You may obtain a license by visiting the Village Hall during normal business hours or at the Police Department on Saturdays (8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) A short application needs to be filled out and then a license will be given to you that same day. A current rabies inoculation certificate number is required with each dog license application. There is no fee for the dog license.
If your dog is not licensed, you may be subject to a citation of $25.00 or more. Village ordinance dictates that no person shall harbor or own more than two (2) dogs over the age of four (4) months on or about any residence. Please check with your homeowner's association regarding any restrictions they may have in place.
