Residential Waste Collection

Single family attached and detached units with curbside collection may place unlimited amounts of household trash in cans or bags placed at the curb each week

Residential Recycling

The Village contracts with Allied Waste Services for the curbside collection of recycling for all single-family attached and detached units. An initial recycling container is provided to each house at no charge. Recycling containers should be left behind for new homeowners in the event you should move.

Residential Yard Waste Collection

Bloomingdale encourages all residents to compost their grass clippings & leaves. Should composting not be an option,curbside collection of yard waste April 1st to November 30th is available with purchased stickers for all single-family attached and detached units.

Document Shredding Event

Recycle your unwanted documents by safely shredding them.

Electronic Recycling

Bloomingdale Township households may drop off Electronics (listed below) at the Bloomingdale Township Garage, on the first Saturday of every month from 8:00am to 12:00pm (except Holiday weekends)

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Discarded consumer products with flammable, toxic, corrosive, or reactive ingredients are called household hazardous waste (HHW).  Learn more on how to reduce and dispose of HHW safely.

Alternate Recycling Center Locations

For residential units not covered or items not collected under the contract with Allied Waste, alternate recycling facilities are available.

Street Sweeping

The Village provides street sweeping services through a private contractor periodically throughout the year. Several sweeps are scheduled to take place in the fall. Street sweeping maintains the Village's attractive appearance, while reducing the potential for flooding caused by debris at curb lines.
