The Village Board is responsible for governing the Village. It determines policy by passage of ordinances and controls finances. The board consists of the Village President, the Village Clerk and six Trustees.
The Village President and Board of Trustees meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month to vote on pending matters. The Village Board also meets on the first and/or third Monday of each month as a Standing Committee of the Whole (SCOW) to discuss various Village matters.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides the public with access to government documents and records. The Village of Bloomingdale is committed to open and honest government and increased government transparency and public accountability.
Community Organizations may submit a request to post on the Village's Front Sign, by completing, saving, e-mailing back this Sign Request Form to the Village.
