Our Government

Village President & Board of Trustees

The Village Board is responsible for governing the Village. It determines policy by passage of ordinances and controls finances. The board consists of the Village President, the Village Clerk and six Trustees.

Village Staff & Departments

Bloomingdale is organized into four operational departments, with numerous divisions contained within.

Commissions & Committees

Planning Commission & Zoning Board of Appeals, Family Fest & Septemberfest Commissions, and the Business Promotion & Cutural Development Committee.

Meeting Minutes & Agendas

The Village President and Board of Trustees meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month to vote on pending matters. The Village Board also meets on the first and/or third Monday of each month as a Standing Committee of the Whole (SCOW) to discuss various Village matters.

Financial

Includes Annual Budgets, Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR), Warrants (Vendor Payments), and various Finance applications and forms.

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides the public with access to government documents and records. The Village of Bloomingdale is committed to open and honest government and increased government transparency and public accountability.
