2010 Census - It's In Our Hands

The Census 2010 questionnaires are in the mail. It is critically important that all residents participate in the 2010 Census in support of the Bloomingdale community. The head of your household should complete the questionnaire answering the 10 questions for every person living in the household, even if any of them are not yet a citizen, an extended family member or a non-relative.

Roughly $400 billion dollars is distributed to states and cities every year and the amount allocated to each is based upon official population.  Every resident counted means $1,400 annually in federal revenue support to the DuPage County region.  Your participation is key to the success of our effort so please remember to fill out your Census survey as soon as you receive it in the mail.  All completed Census questionnaires are to be returned by mail on or about April 1st, the official Census Day. Any person who has lost their form, needs one in a non-english languages, or believes they may not be included on the form that was mailed to their household can come to the Library and pick up a Questionnaire.  For more information on the Census Assistance center at the Library, (click here
