Village Staff & Departments

The Village Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Village's four departments, and divisions contained within. Department Directors from Administration, Finance, Police, Village Services, as well as the Assistant Village Administrator, Human Resources Director, Manager of Information Systems, and Planning Coordinator all report to the Village Administrator.

Administration

The Administration Department consists of Six Divisions:

  • Executive, Legislative & Administration
  • Human Resources
  • Risk Management
  • Information Systems
  • Almanac
  • Commissions & Committees

Finance

The Finance department (the "department") is delegated the responsibilities of maintaining the financial records of the Village, collecting all revenues due the Village, assuring all debts are promptly satisfied, safeguarding of assets and generally providing financial information and support to all Village departments.

Police

The Police Department is comprised of three divisions: Operations, Administrative Services and Criminal Investigations/Youth.

Village Services

It is the Village Services Department's mission to provide the highest level of service for the above mentioned functions to the residents of Bloomingdale. The Village Services Department under the direction of the Director of Village Services is organized into four (4) functional Divisions: Building & Zoning, Engineering, Public Works & Utilities.
