Administration
The Administration Department consists of Six Divisions:
- Executive, Legislative & Administration
- Human Resources
- Risk Management
- Information Systems
- Almanac
- Commissions & Committees
Executive and Legislative and Administration Divisions
The Executive, Legislative and Administration Divisions cover general activities of the Corporate Authorities, Village Clerk, and Administration. The staff consists of a Village Administrator, Assistant Village Administrator, and two (2) Executive Secretaries; one who also serves as the Deputy Village Clerk.
An elected Village President, Village Clerk, and six-member Board of Trustees represent the Legislative Branch. Each Board member leads one of six standing committees (Finance, Personnel and Administration, Intergovernmental Relations and Emergency Planning, Planning, Zoning & Environmental Concerns, Police and Community Relations, Traffic and Street Infrastructure, Facilities and Golf Course) toward accomplishing its mission and realizing the vision.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Division is responsible for employee relations and recruitment, wage and benefits administration, personnel policy maintenance and development, compliance with applicable laws, practices and collective bargaining. Staff consists of a Human Resources Director.
Risk Management
Risk Management, more specifically liability insurance including workers' compensation, OSHA testing, safety training, first aid supplies, as well as safety committee related expenses. This insurance program is intended to protect the Village and its employees from loss in the event of damage to property or personal injury. Staff consists of the Assistant Village Administrator.
Information Systems
The Information Systems Division is entrusted with the responsibility of securing, administering, and maintaining access of the Village's data and voice communications resources. To fulfill this responsibility, the division manages the Village's network and voice infrastructure, desktop and mobile computers, data security systems, telephone and voicemail systems, and network servers. Staff consists of a Manager of Information Systems and an Information Systems Technician.
