Administrative Services Division
The Administrative Services Division includes the Records and Communications Sections along with property and evidence control.
The Records Section serves as the central civilian support staff for the police agency. This section is responsible for quality control and maintenance of all reports and tickets generated by department personnel, as well as being responsible for the reporting of crime statistics at both state and federal levels. Records personnel also respond to requests from the public, department members, city officials and court officers by providing various copies of reports and information. The Records Section is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday's from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. For more information, please contact the Records Section at (630) 529-9868.
The Communications Section is responsible for receiving and dispatching both emergency and non-emergency calls for service to the community. The Bloomingdale Police Department maintains its own Communications Dispatch Center for all 9-1-1 calls and non-emergency calls. Dispatchers disseminate the information provided to them and assign calls for service to Patrol Officers or a Community Service Officer when appropriate.
