Q. How can I obtain a copy of a Police Report?
In order to get a copy of a police report, a Freedom of Information (FOI) form must be filled out. The FOI form can be obtained at the Police Department Records Division or click this link to print a copy of the form. The completed form can be faxed to the Police Department at (630) 529-9405. The Village of Bloomingdale will reply to your request within 7 business days. There is a fee of .25¢ per page for copies of police reports. Requestors will be called when the report is ready for pick up and will be advised of the fee. Copies of the report are picked up at the Village Hall.
Q. How can I obtain a copy of a Traffic Crash Report?
Copies of Traffic Crash reports can be requested at the Police Department Records Division. There is a $5.00 charge for the copy. The report must be approved and closed before a copy can be issued. For further information, please contact the Police Department Records Division at (630) 529-9868.
