RxBox - Dispose of Unused & Expired Medication Safely

The Bloomingdale Police Department & DuPage County Health Department have joined forces in this Expired / Unused Medication Disposal Program.  Expired or unused medications are a risk to families, the community and the environment.  Disposing of prescription and over-the-counter drugs down a drain can contaminate public water supplies and waterways. Removing expired and unused drugs from our homes reduces accidental ingestion by children and reduces teen prescription drug abuse.

Bloomingdale Township residents may dispose of their medications into the RX Drop Box 24 hours/7 days per week at no charge.  The drop box is located behind the Bloomingdale Village Hall, 201 S. Bloomingdale Road.  Look for a large white metal drop box labeled RxBOX located to the side of the Police Department

Items Accepted: Prescription Medications; Over-the-Counter Medications; Medicated Ointments; Medicated Shampoos; Liquids Containing Medications; Prescription Inhalers; Over-the-Counter Inhalers; Glass Thermometers containing mercury.
