Village of Bloomingdale

Bloomingdale Police Department's Tactical Response Team (TRT) is comprised of highly trained Officers from all divisions of the Police Department. The Officers are specifically chosen for this assignment based on many factors. The Officers are trained and certified in the area of tactical responses and special weaponry.

 

The Tactical Response Team would possibly be utilized in the following situations:

- High Risk Warrants

- Hostage Situations

- A Barricaded Subject

- Criminal Surveillance of Offenders

 

In past years, the Bloomingdale Tactical Response Team has competed in statewide competitions against SWAT and Tactical Response Teams from other agencies. The Tactical Response Team has proven its abilities in these events against other qualified teams from the Midwest.
