Bloomingdale Artists Assoc Spring 2013 Art Show and Sale - Chamber of Commerce
The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce, located at 108 W. Lake Street, will host a Spring 2013 Art Show and Sale from March through May. Participants are members of the Bloomingdale Artists Assoc. Fairy Gardens presented by Jan Hanson, U of I Extension Master Gardener. Unlock the mystery into the magical world of Fairy Gardening! This program is designed to inspire you to create your own miniature garden (inside or out) where gnomes, fairies, elves and other wee folk can frolic. It covers the basic folklore of this age old form of gardening, as well as ideas in design, construction, use of creative containers, plant material choices and of course, accessories. It's a whimsical look into the world of fantasy!

Bloomingdale Garden Club -- Don't Doubt the Drought
Don't Doubt the Drought, presented by U of I Extension Master Gardener Julie Moore. 2012 was hot and dry -- how will our landscapes respond in the years to come? This program will discuss growth expectations in 2013 on lawns, newly planted trees, shrubs and evergreens. How will drought impact our perennials, flowering shrubs and ornamental trees? What should we be looking for with established trees and what are some of the best management practices for helping our landscape plants recover.

Bloomingdale Garden Club - Flower Arrangements from the Bible
Flower Arrangements from the Bible, presented by speaker Eileen Wanders. Eileen is a pubished artist and poet. She will demonstrate flower arranging using plants that are written about in the Bible and where to find these references. She will also demonstrate arrangements made using paintings as our guide.

40th Annual Septemberfest
Join us for the 40th annual Septemberfest beginning with the parade stepping off from DuJardin School at 11 a.m., moving west on Schick Road toward Old Town Park. The fest features food, drink, vendor booths, a car show and musical entertainment, as well as the presentation of the Septemberfest/Joe Draghi Memorial Scholarships. The day is capped with a street dance in Old Town Park.
