The Bloomingdale CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition organizes an annual CHARACTER COUNTS! Celebration Night activity in Old Town Park in mid-October every year. The 2009 Celebration was held on Tuesday, October 20 in Old Town Park. This year's theme was Challenge of Choices. Students from Erickson, DuJardin, Westfield Middle, Winnebago, and St. Isidore Schools and Bloomingdale Park District performed and participated in a game of making correct choices. Miss Illinois, Erin O'Connor and Sergeant Randy Sater officiated the evening's events, and presented the the 2009 American Youth Character Awards.
