Bloomingdale Police Department's Tactical Response Team (TRT) is comprised of highly trained Officers from all divisions of the Police Department. The Officers are specifically chosen for this assignment based on many factors. The Officers are trained and certified in the area of tactical responses and special weaponry.
The TRT would possibly be utilized in the following situations:
- High Risk Warrants
- Hostage Situations
- A Barricaded Subject
- Criminal Surveillance of Offenders
Competitive History
In past years, the Bloomingdale TRT has competed in statewide competitions against SWAT and TRTs from other agencies. The TRT has proven its abilities in these events against other qualified teams from the midwest.
