Disposal of Flood Damaged Items

Residents who have large items, "white goods" (appliances) or other bulk items for garbage pickup due to flooding may place them at the curb. Please contact SBC Waste Solutions at (312) 522-1115 to request the large item pick-up.

Hazardous materials & electronic items cannot be placed curbside. Please visit the village website for disposal options.

Be On Alert for "Storm Chasing" Contractors looking to scam unwitting home and business owners following the disaster. The Illinois Attorney General's Office recommends verifying that contractors have the necessary insurance and required permits.

Taking Precautions

Take extra caution before making any decisions to repair or rebuild damaged or destroyed property and avoid rushing into signing a contract or making a down payment. If someone suspects unscrupulous contractors are attempting to scam area residents, they may call the Consumer Fraud Hotline at 800-386-5438.
