Bloomingdale Township Senior Services
The Michael A. Miliotti Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The center provides a clean comfortable and safe place for seniors to participate in various activities.
The center is also home for the Senior Council of Bloomingdale Township, made up of individuals representing the center as well as other senior organizations. The Senior Council functions as a clearinghouse for activities and information between the township and various other senior groups.

The following is a list of services and programs available at the center:
- Congregate Meals - Home delivery of meals to homebound senior citizens is also available.
- Health Services - Flu shots are administered once a year at the Senior Center.
- Income Tax Assistance - Sponsored by the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP), this service helps senior citizens file their income tax statements and is offered free of charge at the Senior Center from February to April every year.
- Recreational Activities - Bingo games, card playing outings and overnight tours are regularly featured by the Senior Center. Exercise, ceramic and stained glass classes, are offered weekly. The center is also used by many as a social gathering place.
- Rules of the Road Review Course - In cooperation with the Secretary of State's Office, this program is offered to drivers who are due to renew their driver's licenses. Advance registration is required and there is no fee.
- RTA Specials User Passes - Applications for the RTA passes for seniors age 65 plus are available at the Senior Center.
- Temporary Handicapped Parking Permits - Senior citizens may obtain temporary handicapped parking permits after completion of an application form, which includes their doctor's certification. There is no fee for this service.
- The Senior Connection - A free bimonthly newspaper with circulation of over 2,500 senior citizens in Bloomingdale Township.
- Vehicle Stickers - Senior citizens residing in unincorporated areas of Bloomingdale Township may obtain vehicle stickers, free of charge at the Senior Center. Driver's license and proof of car ownership is required.
- Volunteer Opportunities - The Senior Center has a staff of senior citizens who volunteer their time and efforts to perform many necessary tasks; including collating and labeling of the newsletter, teaching classes, and delivering meals.
- Voter Registration - A registrar is available in the Senior Center. Two forms of identification are required.
