A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the Village of Bloomingdale for 2022 will be held on December 12, 2022 at 6:00 PM. The Village Board Meeting will follow immediately.
II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $6,126,699.11. The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $6,203,114.00. This represents a 1.25% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission
leases for 2021 were $0.00. The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2022 are $1,491,410.00. This represents a 100.00% increase over the previous year.
IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $6,126,699.11.
The estimated total property taxes to be
levied for 2022 are $7,694,524.00. This represents a 25.59% increase over the
previous year.
Standing Committee of the Whole meetings of the Village Board and Regular meetings of the Village Board are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month. All meetings are open to the public. Standing Committee of the Whole meetings start at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Village Board meetings at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Hall Council Room, 201 S.
