Where can I bring stuff not collected by SBC?


Electronics:  SBC does collect E-waste at the curb; however, it is limited to one (1) collection day per month during the first full collection week of each month, (Tues, Wed and Thurs all land in the same week).  Customers must contact SBC 48 hours in advance to arrange collection by phone 312-522-115 or email @  www.residential@sbcwastesolutions.com.  For residents who do not reside in single family homes, the Bloomingdale Township Highway Department also sponsors an Electronic Recycling Event several Saturdays each year at the Bloomingdale Township Garage at 123 North Rosedale Avenue from 8 a.m. to noon. Batteries & Bulbs:  SBC collects Household Light Bulbs and Batteries from designated drop-off locations.  Paint is accepted at bi-annual collection events.  For more information on these services and other household hazardous waste collection options, pleaseClick Here 

Paint: S.B.C. will host a Paint and Recycling Event two (2) times per year in the Village, the dates and locations of these events will be announced in advance in the Village Almanac and Enews 

Rx Drugs: Unused prescriptions and expired over-the-counter drugs generated by residents may be dropped off in the Rx Box located in the lobby of the Bloomingdale Police Department.  , Read More

Construction Material: Construction material is not covered under the village contract. Free estimates for collection are available by calling SBC at 312-522-1115. 

Household Hazardous Waste: Residents and small businesses are encouraged to safely dispose of their HHW at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) licensed regional facility at Naperville Household Hazardous Waste Facility, located at 156 Fort Hill Drive, every Saturday and Sunday, (excluding holidays) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  To view a list of items accepted and not accepted, please visit: the  HHW Webpage.
